How do I sell you my items?
An Estate Specialist will meet with you to evaluate your items and guide you in determining the best solution for you - whether it is to sell, donate, pass down, or keep the item(s).
IN-PERSON
You can visit us at one of our three locations in Missouri, Virginia or Portland. Click here for additional details.

THROUGH THE MAIL
If you are unable to meet with us in person or prefer to mail in your items, we are more than happy to walk you through our mail-in process. Click here to fill out a form for customer service to review and determine your exact needs in terms of shipping and insurance. You will receive a response within three business days of filling out the form.
How will you pay me and when?
Upon receipt of your package at our processing facility, you will receive a delivery confirmation notification. Within three business days your items will be closely evaluated by an estate specialist and an offer made by phone and/or email.
If you choose to accept the offer a payment will be made within 24 hours of that acceptance. We can mail a check or transfer the funds to a PayPal account.
Are there any fees associated with your services?
We offer free verbal evaluations of items. We do have exclusive membership services with added benefits and rewards for a monthly fee. For more information please contact us.
Do you make house calls?
Yes. We make house calls for qualified individuals with larger estates who are looking for the added comfort and privacy of having the evaluation done in their own home.
Do you hold estate sales?
Yes. We hold estate sales for qualified individuals who would benefit from this type of sale.
Do I need to make an appointment?
We encourage scheduling appointments so that we allot the appropriate amount of time for your evaluation. Walk-ins are welcome.
What do you do with my items after I sell them?
We try and find good homes where people will love the items as much as you did. If that is not what you want we can recycle the item as well. We do our best to ensure that things that should not be melted, things you will never see again, are not.
Why should I sell you my gold instead of someone else?
At Lindstrom & McKenney we look at all pieces to determine if it is worth more than just the metal weight.
Since most other companies are not equipped to determine whether an item is rare, collectable, or otherwise significant, sadly, they melt every item that they receive.
We carefully inspect every piece of gold we receive, checking for makers, designers, rarity, precious stones and more, saving many valuable pieces from the smelter. Most importantly we always offer a fair price and ensure that you make the right decision with no pressure to sell.
How can I tell if my silver is sterling?
Most items will be clearly marked STERLING or 925 somewhere on the piece. Usually the placement of this mark is on the bottom. Some pieces are not marked. If you are unsure about your item, bring it into us and we will be able to determined if it is sterling or not.
At this time, we do not purchase silver plate items marked "A1," "EPNS," "Sheffield," "Silver on Copper," "German Silver," "Quadruple Plate," or "Rogers Brothers 1847." Franklin Mint and other "collectables" are usually only worth metal weight.
Do you purchase furniture?
At this moment in time, we do not buy furniture but would be happy to speak with you about your options and possible avenues in which to sell your furniture depending on the piece(s).
What items don't you purchase?
At this time we do not buy glassware, silver-plate, china, certain collectibles, furniture, cars, and other items. Please contact us for additional information.
